PURPOSE
These Terms and Conditions establish the policies, conditions, and rules applicable to individual reservations made at Hotel La Yarolina S.A.S., in accordance with the hotel’s internal policies and the legal provisions in force in Colombia.
General Booking Conditions
- Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in is available from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. on the departure date of the reservation. All times correspond to Colombian local time. If the guest fails to vacate the room by 12:00 p.m., an additional charge may apply for each fraction of an hour of late departure.
2. Early Check-in
The hotel does not guarantee check-in before the established check-in time. However, for the guest’s convenience, luggage storage may be offered in the event of early arrival, allowing guests to remain in the surrounding social areas while the room is being prepared for check-in at the established time.
3. Cancellation, Modification, and No-Show Policy
- No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
- Se permite hacer la modificación (cambio de fecha) una sola vez, hasta con 5 días de antelación al ingreso.
- La reprogramación de la reserva no debe superar los 30 días y queda sujeta a disponibilidad, si no desea hacer la modificación la reserva se da por cancelada (perdida).
- No se modifican de fechas (si la reserva es hecha 1 día antes de su llegada, debe estar seguro (a) de su asistencia, pues no se devuelve dinero).
- Si no se contacta con el hotel, ni se presenta la primera noche de reserva, se cancelará el resto de la reserva. Salvo que exista alguna temporada alta, se aclara que la tarifa no reembolsable otorgada inicialmente, puede ser modificada dependiendo de la nueva fecha sea en temporada alta.
- Once a reservation has been modified, no further changes may be made.
- Once a cancellation or modification has been confirmed, the hotel reserves the right to freely dispose of the room for the previously reserved dates.
- Important: Any request to modify a reservation must be submitted through the same channel used to make the original booking. The guest must provide both the original reservation date and the new requested date. If the reservation was made through Airbnb, Booking, or any other third-party platform, all changes, cancellations, and communications must be managed directly through that platform, and the policies set out herein shall not apply.
4. Policy for Minors
If you are traveling with a child or children under 18 years of age, you must present the minor’s identification document (birth certificate) proving the family relationship. If the minor is not traveling with their parents, you must provide at reception, in addition to the minor’s identification document (birth certificate), written authorization from the parents. Such authorization must be notarized and accompanied by a copy of the identification document of the person(s) granting the authorization. Without this documentation, minors will not be permitted to enter the hotel. The foregoing is in compliance with Law 679 of 2001, the Statute to Prevent the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, and related regulations.
Any foreign national residing abroad who enters Colombia without the intention of establishing residence in the country, and who proves such status at check-in by presenting the original passport, the Andean card or Mercosur card bearing the current physical entry and stay permit stamp (PT) or tourism permit, or a valid temporary visa TP-7, TP-11, or TP-12, or a visitor visa identified with the letter V, shall be exempt from paying VAT on accommodation services. We recommend requesting or verifying with immigration authorities that the corresponding physical entry stamp be placed in the passport upon entering the country.
Any Colombian citizen residing abroad, in order to qualify for the tax exemption, must present a Foreigner ID Card or a certificate of residence issued by the Colombian consulate in the country of residence. Please note that foreign passports (without the corresponding stamp) or foreign driver’s licenses are not valid documents to prove residence abroad.
Pursuant to Article 17 of Law 679 of 2001, the hotel informs guests that the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors in Colombia are punishable by criminal and civil penalties in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- In accordance with tourism and hospitality regulations and the conditions established herein, every guest, upon arrival at the hotel, must provide their identification document and that of their companion, if applicable (national ID card, birth certificate for minors, or passport for foreign nationals).
- The reservation rate does not include any services not expressly specified therein and is limited exclusively to accommodation.
- At check-out, guests must return the room keys without exception.
- Loss of the room key will incur a charge of COP 30,000. Upon check-out, hotel staff will verify the condition of the keys, and if the key is not physically returned, the guest must pay the above-mentioned amount before departure.
- Any damage caused by guests to the hotel’s property, furniture, fixtures, or the building itself shall be the sole responsibility of the guest, who must pay for the repair or replacement of the affected items. This includes, without limitation, the loss of or damage to TV and air-conditioning remote controls, furniture, and other hotel property.
- Once the reservation has commenced, no refunds or modifications will be granted under any circumstances.
- The hotel is not equipped to provide services to persons with reduced mobility.
- The use of hallucinogenic drugs and smoking inside the rooms are strictly prohibited. In accordance with Law 1335 of 2009, if the guest fails to comply with this obligation, they agree to pay a penalty of COP 200,000.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Guests are permitted to enter and remain on the premises provided they comply with hotel regulations. However, guests are strictly prohibited from disturbing or interfering with the well-being of other guests. Any such conduct may result in eviction without compensation or refund, regardless of whether the accommodation period has ended.
- The guest authorizes the processing of their personal data in accordance with Law 1266 of 2008, Law 1581 of 2012, and Decree 1377 of 2013.
- By confirming the reservation and checking in at the hotel, the guest declares that they have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions, both on their own behalf and, where applicable, on behalf of their accompanying guest(s).
